Police Museum Trip
What an amazing sunny winters day we were blessed with today. The exciting day started off with a bus trip to Aotea Lagoon where we were lucky to have a big play at the playground and sports games. Just before lunchtime we were very lucky to be visited by two police handlers and their dogs one 2 year old dog and a puppy that was just about to begin its training. The students were very lucky to get to smooth the puppy.
After Lunch we got to go to the police museum, room 15 and our room 12 guests were amazing listeners and learnt about all the amazing things that the police do. We heard lots about NZ's criminal history and students asked very good questions. We got to try on proper police uniforms and then had a walk around the fascinating exhibits.
A Huge thanks to all our parent helpers you made the day run extremely smoothly.
It sure was a great day. I learnt a lot about being a police officer too. They all do such a great job of keeping us all safe. I also loved the way all the Tawa kids looked after each other on the trip today too.
