- Children need to bring their book bags everyday. They will bring home a reading book each day which they have read in a small group during our reading session. Re-reading books is a fantastic way to increase fluency.
- Children need to wait outside the library on the top court until the bell rings at 8:30 each morning before school.
- Please wait outside the classroom each afternoon until your child is released by their teacher.
Term Two Timetable
Monday: Spelling words will be going home in the afternoon, this will consist of 5 words that are to be learnt alongside the students nightly reading book.
Tuesday: This is Room 15's Library day. Please remind students to bring back any books they have had previously issued so they can exchange them for new ones.
Wednesday: is our swimming day in term 2. We will be having swimming lessons provided through EasySwim school. The lessons are very fun and beneficial to your child's development. Please ensure that your child has their togs, towels, goggles and swimming caps every Wednesday. A note is required if your child is unable to swim.
Thursday: The class are lucky to have the lovely Julie Burberry teach them on a Thursday, as this is Joe's classroom release day.
Friday: Every Friday morning is the Rainbow Teams Arts rotation where students get to experience a range of curriculum arts activities.
Whole school assemblies are on alternative weeks.
Poem Day: A poem will be sent home in the students poetry books. Please ensure that the students are given the opportunity to read these poems at least once over the weekend. If these books can be returned to school on a Monday in their book bags so they can be made ready for the Friday.
Spelling Day: Can you ensure that students have returned their spelling books to school so that we can check the progress they have made during the week.
