Tawa School support for the Blackcaps.

On Friday the whole of Tawa school had a black out day (wear something black for the day) in support for the Blackcaps up coming World Cup cricket final this Sunday. So the staff had a genius idea to create a Tawa school silver fern out of the staff and students.

The Superheroes of Room 15

This week Room 15 have been thinking about what it would be like to be a superhero. We had a chance to design our own superheroes and write about what they could do and look like.

Penultimate MoveMprove session

Today was Room 15's penultimate MoveMprove session, . I have noticed the growing confidence and enjoyment that the students have shown week by week as they have got better on each piece of apparatus. Below are some pictures from today's session.

GoNoodle

This week every morning after roll Room 15 have been using our television screen to have an active start to the day. We have been doing balance exercises whilst following Maximo a character  off the website www.gonoodle.com. This is great interactive exercise website where students follow an animated character on the screen who goes through many different balancing positions. This has been a great active way to begin our days.

Life Education with Harold the Giraffe

Tawa School is lucky to be joined by the life education truck, where the students get to meet Harold the Giraffe and friends whilst learning about empathy and how we are all very important people (VIP).

Room 15 were very lucky to be able to go on the truck today joined by Room 16 and learn very cool things about empathy.

We also learnt how awesome it is to be unique.

We learnt a very cool poem about being unique and a very important person.

We also got to meet some of Harold's friends who helped show that it is ok to be unique.
