Book Character Parade - Dress Up Day

We all dressed up as our favourite book characters to celebrate our amazing reading from 2015. The whole school paraded our costumes on stage in the hall and we looked amazing.

Can you guess who we all are?

H2O Extreme and Maidstone Park Trip

In the second to last week of term 4 the whole school went on an amazing trip to H2O extreme. We got to swim in the pool, splash in the waves and whizz down the slides. We then got to play at the amazing Maidstone park in the bright sunshine in the afternoon. What a great day and a great way to celebrate all the hard work all students have put in this year.

Pack The Bus

Today at Tawa School we were extremely lucky to have the people from Wellington City Mission come to our school.

Pack The Bus is a great way to help families that may not be as fortunate as the rest of us, and will ensure even families having a tough time, can experience the joy of giving. The Mission works hard every day of the year to help families who are struggling to achieve a quality life, but Christmas can be particularly stressful for many families.

Students not only got to deliver the gifts they had brought in to put on the bus but were treated to a Christmas sing-along. There was also a very exciting special guest that came to see all the students. Some one dressed in a red with a white beard. SANTA.

PMP Pirate Treasure Hunt

For PMP this week our amazing Adele planned a special last session of the year. Room 15 were very lucky to be joined by Room 13 for this special occasion. When we arrived at the hall we were met by a pirate known as Captain Jane. After introducing herself she got the group to search for a pirate treasure map. Captain Jane then lead the class on a treasure hunt through the hall where the students had to maneuver their way across the equipment by climbing, balancing, jumping, crawling till they made there way to the end of the course. To the delight of the students there was a treasure chest full of delicious gold. Thanks Adele for making the session so amazing for both our classes. Also a huge thanks to all the parents who have helped out over the course of the last two terms.
